Throughout the years, White Center residents have shown their love and appreciation for our community and neighbors by admiring the beautiful gardens right here in White Center. This year’s chosen gardens have been specially selected for their beauty and varied plant species. Come be a part of our Garden Walk and look for unique treasure hunt plants and you could be taking home one of our 10 prizes just for having fun!
This year’s title sponsor is McLendon Hardware. We will be meeting in the parking lot at McLendon Hardware at their downtown White Center location Sunday, July, 11th starting at 12:00pm. Here you can pick-up your garden map and garden walk passport to begin your journey. Once you’re done viewing the gardens, return to McLendon’s by 5:00 pm to vote for your favorite gardens and to see if you are one of the first 10 to have found all the correct treasure hunt items and claim your prize. Jubilee Days is a Seafair Sanctioned Community Event, and the street fair and parade gets bigger and better each year. White Center Jubilee Days is an event for families, to build community pride and unity. It is an opportunity for neighbors to get to know their neighbors, community service providers and local business members.
2010 will mark the 22nd year that White Center has participated in a Seafair sanctioned community event. An event planned for the local businesses to participate and support the community and it’s resources and talent. The street fair continues to grow. In 2010 a locally grown Farmers Market is being planned. A fireworks display to kick off the event in conjunction with the carnival is planned. Our returning venders, volunteers, musical and magic performers, carnival, children's entertainers, the famous beer garden and Golf Tournament and parade, bring a fun event together for the whole community.
