Jubilee Days is a Seafair Sanctioned Community Event, and the street fair and parade gets bigger and better each year. White Center Jubilee Days is an event for families, and creating a safe environment to bring children of all ages. The Wide World of Kids Center was added to provide safe, free activities for you and your children during the festival. All White Center Jubilee Days volunteers are easily identified by a sanctioned event laminated I.D.
2010 will mark the 22nd year that White Center has participated in a Seafair sanctioned community event. Please stop by The Wide World of Kids Center, on Saturday and Sunday July 17-18, 2010, during the White Center Jubilee Days festival. Our 2010 Theme is "Embrace Our Differences, Come Together". It would be wonderful if you could add your thoughts, or art, to our banner for visitors. One banner is created yearly, for all to enjoy at each future festival.
I am Ms. Karen, director of the Kids Center. The Center is set up inside of a cyclone fenced area, between Roxbury Clinic and Key Bank. The fence helps provide a safer place for our young and older folks to hang out. We usually have pinatas a number of times each day, and My I.D. Club has been with us on one of our days, almost every year I've been with the festival. They make wonderful, laminated photo I.D. Cards for any child who's parent or guardian fills out the card information. None of the childs information or photos are kept by My I.D. Club or White Center Jubilee Days. It goes with you when you and your child leave the center.
There are always many crafts, arts and activities for all ages to enjoy. Our fishing -for-prizes booth is one of the favorites. Come and play!

The First White Center community festival was the Great Fair, held August 1-4 1923. The slogan was "Big Time, All the Time, One Dime" and events included a carnival, sideshow, and Big Baby and Popular Lady contests. Since that event, many White Center community festivals have been held under a variety of names. The title, "Jubilee Days" was first used in 1965 and has been in use ever since.
